Woundrous 125x125Ryan at I'm Just A Guy Who Quilts
Aurifil_rainbow 125Moda 150x150

Have I told you there will be prizes? There will also be a grand prize for anyone that posts a picture of their finished quilt in our Flickr group. Make sure you have joined to be eligible to win, Any participant who finishes their top (quilted and bound) and posts it to the flickr group before the end of the day on Sunday, June 10, 2011 (midnight CST) will be eligible for a grand prize drawing of a $100 gift certificate courtesy of Fat Quarter Shop

If you haven't already joined the flickr group we set up for the quilt along, please wander over and become a member. It's completely free and I'd love to have you. Even if you don't plan to actively participate.

Even though we are all separated by a computer screen and the vast expanse of distractions I'd like to call the internet, I want this quilt along to feel like it's taking place in a classroom setting. Ask questions, voice your opinions, raise your hand and get my attention! I'll do my best to get back to you in a timely manner.

Here are all the ways you can get ahold of me:
I will be doing blog posts every 2 hours with instructions on how to make the quilt, that most could get done in a day or less. I'll be posting fun non quilt along related items through out the day as well. Fabric requirements have been given before hand, but I'll list them here again for you. Remember, I am human after all and if I have not thought of something or it's wrong please let me know and I will make it right.
  • 10 am (CST) with how to make the blocks. Showing you two ways to make the circles
  • 12 noon (CST) putting the top together
  • 2 pm (CST) with quilting and me showing you a one trip around the quilt binding trick I use
  • 4 pm (CST) Closing and loose ends.
Not only will be this be on the blog, but along with Facebook and Twitter.

Anyone who leaves a comment below will be entered to win a Pick Four book by Sue Abrey

About the book:

Anyone who has ever wished for an easy way to choose fabrics and combine colors will be thrilled with Sue Abrey's reliable technique. Using a maximum of four fabrics, I show how to make fabulous quilts. Perfect for beginners who haven't yet accumulated a stash, this collection proves that a limited color palette doesn't have to mean boring. There are 12 projects included which range from the easiest four patch to more complex designs. It also shows how each quilt might look in different colours and looks at the quilting options for each one.

About Sue:

I live in West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom. My love of quilting began over a decade ago when I was stopped in her tracks by a quilt in a shop window. Since then I have designed and made many quilts. I enjoy hand quilting and also working with my computerized robotic long-arm quilting system.

Only one entry per person, please. All duplicate entries will be deleted. Only entries on blogger count. As blog posts are linked to Facebook. If your reading this on Facebook please join us at www.QubeeQuilts.com to enter.

You may enter up till 10:00 pm CST and at that time I will close off all comments. I will draw the winners using the Random Number Generator and announce them here on Wednesday, July 13, 2011!
